Present Council

Mr. John Boxall was born in Vittoriosa on the 19th October, 1954. He has been married to Rita nee Grixti, who is also from Vittoriosa and they have one child, named Karl. He works at Maltacom plc (Wirenet) as a Senior Technical Officer.

Mr Christopher Cassar is presently thirty years old. He is married to Maria nee Inguanez and they have a daughter called Jade. He works at Delta Malta Ltd., a factory that manufactures Power Supplies.

Mrs Miriam Grech aged forty nine, married and mother of three. She completed her secondary education and works in a hotel as a supervisor. She spent a term as a member of the Vittoriosa Local Council on behalf of the PN and was secretary of the local PN committee. Miriam was active among the teenage girls of the parish and for some time was a member of the parish commission on family matters. She also took part on various sub-committee of the Local Council of Vittoriosa.

Mr Ivan Peresso was born on the 10th of May 1980. He is a single parent of a four year old daughter Triza. After completing post – secondary education, he is employed as a Stores Manager with a private company. He lived and worked for some years in Canada and served as a Treasurer at the Youth Centre of Birgu. Performed on various programmes on super One Radio and was part of the Qawsalla group on Super One TV and conducted various programmes on Radju Kottoner. He was part of the team which helps at the Parish Church of Saint Lawrence. Ivan also spent time doing voluntary work with people with special needs. He is the author and director of a number of drama plays organized throughout the year at the convent of Saint Theresa. His hobbies include website design, literature and playing a musical instrument.

Mrs Judith Saliba was born on the 28th January 1947, married to Edwin and mother of two boys, Edwin and Richard. After attending the primary school at Marsa she spent five years at Maria Regina Blata l-Bajda and passed her O levels, with prizes in the subjects of needlework and housecraft. Her jobs varied from jeans of factory operator to receptionist and seamstress. Judith spent some years on the parents – teacher council of Vittoriosa primary school, where the stage – curtain is her creation. Later she also formed part of the council at the Verdala Junior Lyceum where her sons had their secondary education. She is still active on the Ladies Circle of the said Junior Lyceum. Judith was a member of the sub – committee on Education during the first Vittoriosa Local council. Performed as an AEC on behalf of the MLP in various elections. Her hobbies are reading, sewing and organizing different activities at the Verdala Junior Lyceum for the students and their parents.
