Armed Forces of Malta cleaning the fortifications of Vittoriosa

On Thursday 12th July 2007, 17 members from the CSD company of the Armed Forces of Malta, led by Lieutenant Joseph Degiorgio helped the Local Council in the rehabilitation of the historical heritage of our City by cleaning the fortifications surrounding Couvre Porte.

After several meetings with Brigadier and Commander Carmel Vassallo, as well as meetings with Captain Nick Cassar, arrangements were made so that the Armed Forces Of Malta will clean the fortifications surrounding Vittoriosa starting from the Couvre Porte area.

In the coming weeks, members of the CSD company will be also cleaning the fortifications surrounding the "It-Toqba" and Mandaraggio area.
