Programme of Activities organized by the Birgu Local Council
Sunday 2nd September - 6:00pm
A thanksgiving mass will be celebrated at the conventual mass of St. Lawrence.The concelebrants will be the Archpriest, the College
Chapter of St. Lawrence, the Prior and the Dominican community.
Monday 3rd September - 10:00am
Book donation from the Birgu Local Council. Presentation will be made by the Mayor, Mr.John Boxall, to theHonor. Dr.Louis Galea Minister of Education, Youth & Employment
Tuesday 4th September - 6:00pm
Simultaneous Chess Exhibition at Gallerija Couvre Porte. All those interested are invited to participate.
Wednesday 5th September
9:00 am - Departure from il-Pjazza
Cultural outing for the senior citizens of Vittoriosa at Zurrieq, where they will visit the Xarolla Windmill & various cultural sites. There will also be a small reception at the Zurrieq Bocci Club.
5:30 onwards
Cordial visit from the Mayor & Councilorsto all the old people of Vittoriosa who cannot go out of their homes.
Thursday 6th September
6:00pm onwards - Band march from the 1st Cospicua Scout Group along the roads of Vittoriosa
At Couvre Porte Gallery
6:30pm - Inauguration of the interactive CD-ROM about Birgu in five different language (Maltese, English, Spanish, German and Italian)
Friday 7th September - JUM IL-BIRGU 2006
Celebrations will commence at 6:00pm at Misrah ir-Rebha
