On Wednesday 5th September 2007, the Birgu Local Council, as part of the Birgu Day activities organised a social cultural outing for all the senior citizens of Vittoriosa to Zurrieq.
The group of about 50 citizens, led by Councilor Judith Saliba, visited the Xarolla Windmill and various other cultural sites found in Zurrieq.
Afterwards, the group were greeted by the Mayor of Zurrieq, Mr. Ignatious Farrugia and had lunch at the Zurrieq Bocci Club.
