The Birgu Local Council on behalf of the citizens of Birgu sends its deepest sympathy to the Sovereign Military Order of St John, for the loss of their Most Eminent Highness and Grand Master and First Honorary Citizen of the Maritime City of Birgu, Prince Fra Andrew Bertie who died peacefully during the night of February 7th, 2008.
May his soul rest in peace.
The Birgu Local Council encourages all the societies of Birgu to put up the flag of their respective societies on half mast on the day of the funeral, which date will be advised further on.
