On Friday 25th April, 2008, the Birgu Local Council invited all the kindergarten children of the Santu Rokku Primary School of Birgu to the Vittoriosa Regional Library, where they were given a set of the famous KTIEB TEZOR books partly sponsored by the Merlin Library.
The books were presented by the Mayor, Mr. John Boxall , where he addressed the children and parents. In his speech, the Mayor emphasised that education should be given alot of importance from the parents as well as from the Council, who from its end is trying to invest in the City's future.
After the presentation, the children and parents were treated to a small refreshment party.
